Sixth Form Work
Vivienne Westwood inspired Dress
For My second AS textiles project I was given the task of designing a dress inspired by an established fashion designer. However the dress that we were to design had to be created using an existing dress pattern (this being Burda Pattern 7602) which we were to edit to make the dress our own.
William Morris inspired Bag
For my first As project I was asked to design and make a product (no clothing) around the designer William Morris. At the time I wasn't a big fan of his work where as I now appreciate it much more. However, I believe that I managed to make the project work, giving the bag a young twist. The bag has 2 internal pouch pockets, a chunky exposed zip, 2 reverse applique embelishments with the edged left raw, transfer printing, silk painting, english quilting, a flap with buckle, and bead work which alone took me around 20 hours to bead.
